The development of alternative narratives and working on de-radicalization have become more urgent in all seven WoF countries. Women on the Frontline aims to create more space for constructing and highlighting an alternative and inclusive narrative of women civil society organisations in the MENA region. As actors of change they are countering  the dominant narrative of extremism, conservatism and repression.  The programme aims to support women CSO to make their voices and stories heard through substantial media outreach and campaigns. In that way the visibility and influence of women and youth as actors of change in society is being increased.

Advocacy is an important element of 'voice' as well, as the programme enables women to successfully stress the urgency of placing gender equality issues and the issue of women, peace and security high on national and international agendas.
